Bruteus is an instrumental prog-rock power trio from Raleigh, NC. Their sound is based on a groove-heavy crossover prog-rock foundation layered with a soulful and strong melodic vibe.  Their songs show a diversity of texture and influences including rock, metal,  alternative, jazz fusion, and pop, building these themes into instrumental music.  All members being veteran performers, their live shows are as powerful as their studio recordings.

Their collective influences are many, and can be traced on anything from Band of Gypsies to the Aristocrats, from Rush to Tool, from Return to Forever to King Crimson.. along with many others that are too numerous to list. 

The band is currently working on their third album release, and booking shows for the next year.
